Brake Test

The Mokwheel Basalt comes equipped with Tektro E350 hydraulic disc brakes and 180 mm brake rotors. We evaluated their performance using the process described above and found that the average stopping distance was about 7.5 m, which was longer than our expectations.

These results were surprising, especially considering the consistently excellent performance we've experienced with the Tektro E350 line of hydraulic disc brakes.

While their performance can naturally vary based on factors like the type, weight, and tires of the e-bikes they are used on, we would expect to see something closer to 5 m in the distance on a bike as lightweight and well-balanced as the Basalt.
