Anyways, this brake type is also compatible with normal-rim brake shifters.
The only thing that might require your attention is maintenance. Unlike hydraulic brakes, you’ll need to set aside some time to do the dirty work, and that’s polishing.
The Pros and Cons After Testing
The juice on this one? Well, it checks out ALMOST all the boxes. Now, let’s explain the almosts.
If you take a look at this off-road bike from a larger angle, you’ll see that it’s a fairly good candidate for mild outdoor adventures – let’s put it this way.
The thing is, you shouldn’t overestimate the power of this one.
Although the frame on this Pioneer E-bike is made to fit riders of all heights, the motor is what accounts for the biggest difference between this and some previous models from the same manufacturer. With a power of 500W or 750W, this engine is fit for uneven surfaces, but it’s not an ideal candidate for some extreme adventures.
Steep surfaces should be left for stronger engines, in particular, those that feature an engine above 800W.
The brakes, however, are on-point – they require less physical effort, leave more space, and will help you make a stop at any minute. The only hiccup here is that you’ll need to polish them from time to time.
