Nakto “Camel” 250W Ebike Review
The electric bike craze has taken over the biking world! Everybody is rushing to bike stores both online and offline to get their hands on the latest models. But before you join the bandwagon, you might want to listen to this tidbit that I have for you!
If you have any idea of how the law of supply and demand works, you know that this is time for e-bike manufacturers to make a killing. Unfortunately, not all electric bikes are the same and not all businessmen are honest. You don’t want to fall into a trap by hurrying to buy a product that doesn’t offer value for your money.
I have first-hand experience of what this feels like and trust me, you don’t want to be the latest victim. So before you to buy the first e-bike model you see on an ad, make a point of learning a thing or two about quality electric bike features to be in a position to make an informed choice when you finally go shopping around.
To help you with this, read the following review of the Natko electric bike. This amazing bike offers exceptional quality and great performance at an affordable price.

FRAME
The Nakto electric bicycle is built with a sturdy carbon steel frame (used in the construction of earthquake-resistant structures) which ensures that you’ll use it for a lifetime. It is strong enough to comfortably support weights of up to 300 pounds and is ideal for individuals between the heights of 4’9” - 6’6”.
The low step frame on the bike provides you with an easy time when mounting or dismounting. The front forks also feature the same carbon steel in their construction and are designed to provide sufficient shock absorption. This allows you to have a comfortable ride even in the bumpiest of terrains.
Given its strong build, the Nakto weighs in at 50-70 pounds, which is quite heavy when compared to e-bikes constructed using aviation quality aluminum alloy. For small-bodied people, this may be a slight turn-off but not necessarily a deal-breaker.
ENGINE
This electric bike is powered by a top-of-the-range 36V, 250 Watt brushless motor set up. The battery rests behind the seat while the motor is situated in the middle of the back wheel. The motor produces enough power to get you to a speed of 25mph, giving you the green light to scale inclines with little worries.
The lithium battery, when fully charged, will allow you to cover 25miles before it needs to be recharged. It can also be removed for storage or recharging whenever necessary. What’s so impressive about this bike is that it is among the few e-bikes in the market under 1000 that come with a 36V battery.
Another major plus for me are the two working modes you can use on this bike. The Nakto allows you to use it strictly as an e-bike whereby the motor does all the work without you pedaling, or an assisted bike where the motor provides extra power once you start pedaling.
This cancels out all the stress of regular bike riding, so that you can enjoy a cruise on your bike without breaking a sweat; and would be very suitable for anybody struggling with back or spine issues. You still have the choice to combine these two modes if you want to prolong the ride or distance covered.
BATTERY
The Nakto e-bike is fitted with a 36V 10Ah lithium battery, which is quite powerful. It allows you to reach maximum speeds of between 25-30mph, so getting to your destination on time should not be an issue. However, the topography of the area and your weight will come into play here.
When running on full charge, the lithium battery can last you as long as 4-6 hours, which is sufficient time to get you 20-25 miles away depending on the speed you are going. The Nakto makes use of equilibrium function, charge control, overcharge protection, over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, temperature protection, over-release protection, and over-current protection.
All these function to keep you safe from injury when riding and prevent damage to the battery!
BRAKES
The Nakto features rear expansion brakes and front V brakes on a 6-speed Shimano transmission system, which allows you to select a speed you are most comfortable with. The brakes are stable enough to give you adequate stopping power and full control of the bike even when going at maximum speed.
You also get a horn, as well as a bright LED light to make the bike practical in the night.
GEARS
This bike comes with a high-quality Shimano-6 speed gear set. This helps to ensure that your ride remains smooth all the way, whether you are biking on flat roads or sloping surfaces.
TIRES
The wheels on the Nakto e-bike feature 26 by 4 CST big fat tires that have an ideal pressure of 30 PSI. Whether you are riding in snowy areas, sandy trails, or muddy paths, these fat tires are a juggernaut that allows you to plough through any of these terrains. This promises that you will get where you are going with no hassles on the way.
What Do We Like?
What I liked about this e-bike is that it offers you a nice way to get around. The level of speed and battery life on this bike is ideal for cruising around the neighborhood quite leisurely. The pedal-assist mode ensures that you won’t have to strain, but if you don’t want to move a muscle, the e-bike mode is always on standby.
I was also impressed by the low frame design that not only makes mounting the bike a breeze, but also makes for comfortable riding. There is no chance of ripping or stretching your clothes when dismounting the bike. Not to mention that the adjustable seat allows you to choose a fitting posture.
The bike is great for people who want to stay fit without sticking to a demanding exercise regime. The sturdy and comfortable geometry of the bike makes it suitable for old people or guys struggling with back aches. It brings the fun to working out while ensuring that you are not sore after the session.
Considering all the features that it offers, spending less than $1000 for an e-bike feels like a steal to me. Not to mention that you get a 1 year warranty on the bike when you are buying it.
What Don’t We Like?
The bad news is that despite the bike coming when it’s 85% assembled, the instructional manual provided isn’t clear. I had a difficult time trying to finish off the assembly of the saddle, handlebars, and front tire.
Unless you have a fair knowledge of bike mechanics, you might want to find a repair shop should you ever suffer a rear-wheel flat. This is because you must have the right skill and tools to successfully remove the wheel without damaging the chain.

Advice to Buyers
If you are an average bike enthusiast who’s looking to taste the thrill of an electric bike, the Nakto is a good choice to start with. You won’t have to break the bank to acquire an entry-level e-bike that will offer you all the features you may be looking forward to.
However, for an avid enthusiast, you might want to continue shopping around. Although it’s a great e-bike, I feel that it doesn’t offer anything special that you haven’t experienced in an electric bike before.
Conclusion
The Nakto electric bicycle has its flaws, but they don't overshadow the many benefits it offers. It is a great way to enjoy a comfortable ride at a decent speed with the assurance of quality brakes to keep you in control of the ride. Its sturdy build and durable tires only add to its list of benefits.
If you are willing to overlook the few mishaps and spend no more than $1000 for this respectable e-bike; I don't see why you wouldn't be getting value for your money!
A great budget beach cruiser/everyday commuter.
Definitely the only truly affordable beach cruiser on the market. The 250 W engine isn't the strongest, but it performs well, and everything else is stellar.
