It’s important to note that these specs are some of the best I’ve seen in this price range. It fits almost anyone’s criteria, and there isn’t a single weak point in the performance of this e-bike.

Now that you have a clear overview of all the key specs of the Cyrusher XF900, let’s take a look at every component of this fat tire e-bike, and let’s see if it’s worth the money or not.

Frame

image2

When it comes to the frame of the Cyrusher XF900, let’s start off with a quote from the manufacturer’s website: “Its motorcycle-inspired frame makes it unique and our one-of-a-kind electric bicycle”.

This brief description is very accurate - the frame looks quite unique and cool. Besides that, the experience of riding this e-bike really is one-of-a-kind. Especially taking into consideration how light it is!

It’s an aluminum suspension frame which makes it very sturdy while keeping its lightweight features. You may scratch it or otherwise damage it, but all the damage you’ll be able to inflict upon the Cyrusher XF900 are just surface scratches.

The colors of the frame might throw you off but just remember - there is more than one color scheme to choose from, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t like the color of the frame that you first see.

Suspension

And when it comes to noise, the motor is very quiet. You will be able to hear it when at max speed, but the noise is almost negligible.

image7

It’s rare to see a racing suspension setup on an e-bike, which screams confidence and off-road capability. In this regard, XF900 might be the pioneer on the market - at least in my experience.

This bad boy features 110mm of travel which is not much when considering downhill racing front forks, but considering it’s mounted on an ebike - it’s very cool. It feels just like it should - very comfortable and forgiving in rough terrain. You can adjust the air compression of the fork for the type of riding you’ll do. Kudos to Cyrusher for raising the bar in the e-suspension game.

The front suspension is paired with the rear travel spring fork, and it works quite well. FX900 feels like a very comfortable ride on a bumpy trail, thanks to these. The parts are all no-name, which might sound off putting, but considering the price of this ebike, there’s nothing but praise to be highlighted.

Motor

image3

Motor is the most important component of an e-bike. XF900’s rear houses a 750 Watt Bafang electric power motor which is well-known for its reliability and the lack of breakdowns.

This 750 Watt motor provides up to 80 Nm of max torque, which is great for casual cruising with minimal effort, but it also comes in handy when you’re looking to overcome a bigger obstacle.

It’s nice to know that you have a motor that won’t give up on you in the middle of your adventure, and that’s why Cyrusher went with a Bafang motor. These motors are well known in the world of e-bikes for their durability and characteristics for a small price.

But, if it, unfortunately, does break down, you still have a 2-year warranty that will take care of it. How nice is that?

This motor is waterproof as well, so you don’t have to worry about taking it out and about when it’s raining, which is quite awesome if you ask me since I don’t let a bit of rain be the end of an amazing adventure.

Battery

image9

Battery is crucial when it comes to the length of your ride. When you’re in the woods or on a long trip, you have to have some level of trust in your battery, and the Cyrushere XF900 gives you that opportunity.

A battery should be as long-lasting as it can, as well as waterproof, and capable of providing enough stored power so you can overcome any obstacle in your way.

That’s exactly what this 48 volt, 17 amp-hour battery provides you with. Excellent durability and high capacity are what everyone is looking for in a battery, and I’m sure you’re the same.

The range you’re getting with this battery is amazing. The manufacturer says that you have up to 100 kilometers, and in my testing, the difference wasn’t too big. I managed to get around the 90 km range of mixed riding. I have to mention though - I do like some extra assist, so if you’re more economical about it - you’ll probably get your money’s worth.

Charging your battery

Charging your e-bike should last too long. The manufacturer says you’ll need between 5 and 7 hours to charge it, but I found that the most efficient way to approach the charging is to charge your XF900 throughout the night. With the bike itself, you get the 54.6V, DC 2.0 Amp smart charger that operates on both 110V – 240V AC power outlets, which is fantastic for house charging. From 20% to 100% battery life, I needed around 5 and a half hours, which is not that bad!

Brake Type

image6

Safety always comes first, and when it comes to e-bikes, safety is spelled b-r-a-k-e-s. You need to be able to stop when you’d like, when you’d like.

The brakes found on the XF900 are the Zoom hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors in the front and back.

In my experience, they can be too stiff for someone that just got into e-biking. There are much softer options that you can be a bit more careless with, but if you press on the brakes too hard while on the XF900, you won’t have a good time.

Regardless of them being on the stiffer side of the brake spectrum, once you get used to these Zoom brakes, you’ll find yourself effectively stopping in your tracks.

You can also use them for light breaking if you go easy on the handle brake since the XF900 has quite an original feature that allows the braking system to cut off any power from the motor while using your brakes.

This’ll allow you for smoother braking and safer stops.

Rims

Rims can make a world of difference when it comes to separating good from phenomenal e-bikes.

The XF900 is equipped with Double Layers (40*36H) rims that keep you sturdy and stable every second of your ride.

In addition to their amazing features, these rims look phenomenal when paired with the tires from the XF900. The level of aesthetics is incredible!

Tires

image5

Kenda 26X4.0 wear-resistant liner tires are what separates this e-bike from the bunch. After all, this e-bike is a competitor for the best fat tire e-bike!

These tires provide you with extra stability and safety while riding, leaving you carefree when it comes to everything that’s below you.

From the slippery streets in urban environments to the rough terrain of rural surroundings - these tires can take it all.

These tires are wear-resistant, which means you’ll get plenty of life from them if you don’t drive over nails or miles of roads made from broken glass!

From a beach to the woods, these tires will carry you without any struggle, and you’ll feel safe when supported by these Kenda liner tires!

Pedals

image8

The pedals found on the XF900 are the Wellgo B087 CrMo axle. They are made out of aluminum and have a platform with reflectors. They have standard 9/16″ x 20 TPI threading, which allows you to have a better grip in drier conditions, but you might find yourself struggling in rain.

They are comfortable and sturdy, which is also a plus. Easy installation is also guaranteed, but if you’ve never installed pedals, don’t be surprised if you find yourself struggling.

Aluminum pedals are very common on the market these days, so if you’d like to go with some after-market ones - that would definitely be an upgrade for the most enthusiastic riders.

The Seat & Overall Comfort

image10

The seat on the Cyrusher XF900 is probably the only regular-looking thing when it comes to this e-bike.

It’s not overly comfortable, but it’s alright when it comes to softer terrain that won’t send you bouncing up and down, regardless of your suspension.

The overall comfort of this e-bike is, in my personal experience, on a decent-enough level, so you can enjoy it on moderately long rides, but it’s not something that you could go across your state with and expect your back and forearms not to feel any stress.

The Display

image4

Having a great overview of everything that’s happening with the system that supports you is crucial. That’s why you’ll find an amazing LCD display in the middle of your handlebar that shows lots of interesting information, such as:

  • Battery life

  • Pedal assist level

  • Odometer

  • Speedometer

  • Wattmeter

  • Temperature

  • Error codes

These are all important pieces of information that you’ll find handy being notified about when riding outside. This LCD display is easily visible in all conditions, even in the dark or under bright light. It’s also easy to navigate and won’t require you to take your eyes off of the road for long.

The LCD display is easy to use. You read the data displayed on it while you choose the modes and control it with simple commands found right beside your left-handle grip.

Depending on your model, you’ll have one or two remotes. If you have two remotes, the one on the left will be for your horn and your light (on and off switch), and on the right, you’ll find the remote that has the up arrow, the down arrow, and the M button which is used to turn on the e-bike and browse through Modes.

In the lower-left corner, you’ll find your PAS (pedal assist) level that goes from 0 (no assist) to 5 (biggest assist level), then right beside it to the right is your wattage, above them is your mode display, and you can have eco, standard, or power mode.

In the middle, which is the biggest part of the screen, you’ll either find your speed, your max speed for the current ride, your average speed, or the timer that shows you how long your e-bike has been on.

In the upper left corner, you’ll find your battery indicator, and beside it, in the upper right corner, you’ll find either your mileage or your odometer.

You most often either use the up+M or the M button to make changes and control your screen and what it displays. It’s not the most intuitive screen, but it’s simple enough so anybody can learn how to utilize it to its fullest potential.

Post Test Summary: Cyrusher XF900 Pros And Cons

All right, you probably know how this goes. Now you’re going to have a clear overview of what in particular I like about the Cyrusher XF900, and what I didn’t like. These are purely subjective, but my experience may serve as a type of guidance to all new and potential owners of this e-bike.

PROS

  • Sturdy
  • Reliable
  • Long-lasting
  • More than decent range
  • A reliable motor
  • Amazing robust design

This e-bike is an overall win as far as your wallet and e-biking experience go. The pros of the Cyrusher XF900 far outweigh the cons, and that’s visible - not only on paper, but in practice as well.

You’ll find yourself enjoying this e-bike much more often than you’re maybe planning on, and you’ll find yourself struggling to find any flaws related to the XF900.

Cons

  • Urban color coordination
  • Unconventional brakes

Like all products out there, the XF900 has a few things that its makers can improve on. The first is the color coordination which can be an eyesore for some of you that enjoy simplistic-looking e-bikes. This can be fixed with a good paintbrush and a pair of professional hands, but that’s just extra money out of your pockets.

The hydraulic brakes found on the Cyrusher XF900 are quite unusual. While they may be awesome once you get used to them, there is a period of getting used to them that might be tricky, and in that time frame, you should be extra careful.

Advice To Customers

Is this e-bike for you? Well, that depends on what you’re going to use it for. This e-bike may be perfect for beginners and intermediate riders, but if you’re a stone-cold pro, you might need to look further to get what you’re looking for.

This e-bike might be good for beach rides and conditions that you’d expect a fat tire bike to handle well, but if you’re looking for something that might provide you with enough support and reliability for something like downhill riding or cross country, you’re probably not going to get it in the XF900 package.

For casual and semi-casual riders, the Cyrusher XF900 is an amazing option for both urban and rural environments. So, if you fit under these categories, maybe it’s time to consider this e-bike!

Conclusion

Although you might not see fit to buy a new e-bike right now, the market is quite optimal for surprising yourself with your new two-wheeled best friend.

E-bikes are an amazing way to get around town as well as explore the rural areas of your country. It’s eco-friendly, counts as a sport, and is the perfect hobby.

Cyrusher XF900 is one of the best options out there currently, and I highly recommend taking it into consideration.

The color scheme might be a little off-putting, but if that’s the only thing you don’t like about this e-bike, then it’s that much more perfect than you’d ever hope for.

Wishing you happy shopping and rolling!
