CANNONDALE

Cannondale Tesoro Neo Bike

Cannondale e-bike

Cannondale Bike Reviews

Known For: Road, Mountain bikes

Cannondale is one of the biggest names in the field of e-bikes, although it wasn't always like that. In fact, they kicked off in 1970 as a producer of concrete housing, which doesn't have anything to do with electric bikes.

Fast forward to around 50 years later, and Cannondale is at the very top of the list of the best electric bike manufacturers. They have electric bicycles for pretty much every purpose out there, including mountain bikes. And they are extremely fun to ride.

Their e-bike journey started in 1983 when they made their first model.

It was nothing spectacular, just a traditional aluminum-frame touring bike. The real success came after two events - Cannondale becoming one of the main sponsors of the Grand Tours in the 90s and after Dorel Industries bought Cannondale in 2008.

Since then, they haven't stopped producing top-notch e-bikes and introducing the latest innovations into their bikes, including Cannondale's lefty Oliver suspension fork, Kingpin rear suspension, sturdy CAAD aluminum frame, SmartForm frames, SAVE Micro-Suspension, which is the perfect addition to their suspension fork, and so on.

Software-wise, Cannondale is teamed up with Garmin to utilize a wheel sensor and the Cannondale app and display your data (speed, time, distance, calories, etc.).

While Cannondale bikes tend to be on the expensive side compared to some other brands, they are definitely worth it because they are built to last and provide unforgettable rides.

Our Recommendation: Cannondale Tesoro Neo

Highlight features:

  • Bosch Power Tube 500Wh battery
  • 12-speed Shimano transmission system
  • 250W mid-drive motor
  • Speed of up to 28 mph (Class 3)
  • 4 pedal assist modes
  • Range of up to 72 miles

Albeit it is difficult to single out only one Cannondale electric bike as the best electric bike because of incredible models like the Synapse Neo and the Moterra Neo, the Tesoro Neo sits at the throne because of its versatility.

It is an all-around hybrid bike that performs well on the asphalt as much as it does on the steep hills and gravel. It manages to hit the perfect middle ground between an electric mountain bike and a road bike.

With the Bosh Active Line Plus 250W electric motor, the Bosch Power Tube 500Wh integrated battery, and wide 29ers that are surprisingly quiet, this is one of the best electric bikes money can buy.

You can reach a top speed of 28 mph with the mid-drive motor because Tesoro Neo is a Class 3 e-bike. The 12-speed Shimano transmission system is perfect for all the conditions you may come across during the ride, and it allows you to shift seamlessly while hydraulic disc brakes stop on the dime.

Although the overall bike weight is approximately 50 pounds, you can expect an excellent range due to the power of the motor and the Lithium-ion battery.

The extra features, such as front and rear integrated lights, along with the front and rear rack, add to the value of this electric bicycle.

TREK

Trek Domane

Trek e-bike

Trek Bike Reviews

Known For: Road, Mountain Bikes

Trek is one of those electric bike manufacturers that allows you to find precisely what you need within their unique models of electric bikes (around 40 of them), no matter whether you are a professional or you are just getting started with your electric ride expedition.

Let's see how they got where they are today.

Similar to many other e-bike manufacturers, Trek started small, with only five employers, in 1976. Firstly, they produced steel-frame electric bikes, but as they grew, they upgraded to aluminum and carbon. A lot of ground-breaking Trek patents are connected to efficient bike dynamics and frame, such as the OCLV carbon (some of the lightest in the world) and Alpha Aluminum frame.

Next, they have developed Active Braking Pivot, RE: Aktiv, Full Floate, and Iso Speed suspension that all minimize the impacts of the road during the ride.

The reason why Trek's range of electric bikes appeals to everyone is that they have budget-friendly beginner bikes such as the charming Townie Go all the way to the Bosch performance line high-end bikes like the Trek Allant+, which brings us to the best electric bike by Trek we will describe below.

Our Recommendation: Trek Domane

Highlight features:

  • Bosch Performance Cruise 250W rear-hub motor
  • Bosch Powertube 500Wh battery
  • Speed of up to 20 mph with Iso Speed tech
  • Range of up to 60 miles
  • Low weight
  • Four pedal assist modes
  • Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes

This hybrid bike has the feel of the traditional bike, but when you switch to the bike electric mode, you realize how much power the Trek Domane packs.

The signature Trek OCLV carbon frame we mentioned above is incredibly lightweight (the bike weight is only around 32 pounds) and caters to both taller and shorter riders because it slightly dips towards the seat.

Trek really is the king of the e-bikes frame, which is proved with the Domane modal that comes in seven different sizes.

The frame is complemented with multiple mount points for accessories, water bottles, or a front and rear rack - whatever you wish to install.

The Trek Domane sports a Bosch Performance Line Cruise 250-Watt motor, which may not seem like a lot of power, but trust us, it is. Due to the fact that the frame is so light and Trek's Iso Speed tech, when you reach the max speed of 20 mph, you'll feel as if though you are the fastest on the road.

That said, the speed does gradually fade away when you are climbing the steepest of hills. While this might not be the best electric mountain bike or a Class 3 one, and will take a little bit of extra effort, it can still conquer moderate hills better than a standard road bike.

Finally, an ode goes to the high-capacity integrated battery that offers excellent battery life and a range of up to 60 miles (depending on the assist-mode) and the Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes.

RAD POWER BIKES

RAD POWER CITY

Rad Power e-bike

Rad Power Bikes Reviews

Known For: Road, Mountain, Off-Road

The founding of Rad Power Bikes has an interesting follow-up story. Namely, in 2007, the founder of the company, Mike Radenbaugh, was a high school student who was looking for an efficient and affordable day to commute to his school on a daily basis. So, he built an electric commuter bike for himself.

Seems like a logical solution, doesn't it?

Of course, his first electric bike doesn't have anything to do with the Rad Power Bikes today - it was made from a brushless electric motor, lead-acid batteries, and Tupperware, but it's an interesting and inspiring story.

And so, Radenbaugh kept making more electric bikes until he founded Rad Power Bikes with his childhood friend, Ty Collins, in 2015.

Today, they have a lineup of 8 electric bikes, and not all of them are commuter e-bike, like his first model. In fact, you'll find that the Rad Power assortment includes cargo bike, hybrid bike, folding electric bike, and mountain bike options.

The RadMission is one of the best single-speed electric bikes out there made for entry-level commuters. And then there's, for example, the RadWagon 4 that is the best cargo bike with a huge rear rack. The RadRover 5 is an excellent pick for an off-road ride, with plenty of power hidden in its rear hub motor. There's also the Rad Mini, one of the best mini e-bikes out there.

There are even step-through frame models like the RadCity Step-Thru 3, which deserves to be crowned the best electric bike made by Rad Power.

Our Recommendation: RadCity Step-Thru

Highlight features:

  • Low weight
  • 750W rear hub motor
  • Rear rack
  • 20 mph top speed
  • Range of up to 45 miles
  • 48V, 625Wh battery with Lithium NMC Samsung 35E

If you are looking for the best electric bike for urban, city conditions, the Rad Power Bikes Rad City Step-Thru is it.

You can use it for going to work, school, rides on the bike path, visiting your friends and family, and running errands. Of course, the list doesn't end there, but it can give you an idea of what we mean when we say "the best electric bike for the urban setting."

The third generation of the Rad Power City line has all the features you need for battery-powered day-to-day commuting. Due to its low weight and low-step frame design, it is nimble and swift, just like you'd want your everyday road bike to be.

And let us say, it is a good-looking bike. The frame comes in modern black and white color schemes, and the step-through area makes it easy to ride.

The 750-Watt motor that powers it is excellent, and its power and speed are controlled via pedal assist and twist-grip throttle. The range is up to 45 miles.

We also liked its extra features: it has a rear rack and an optional basket if you want to transform it into a cargo bike, and the lighting system is quite good.

JUICED BIKES

JUICED BIKES

Juiced Bikes electric bike

Juiced Bikes Bike Reviews

Known For: Road, Mountain, Sports

Compared to some other brands on our list, Juiced Bikes is a relatively young company, as it was started up in 2009. It's California-based and founded by Tora Lian-Juin Harris, a high-jump record-breaking champion.

Harris is also an Olympian, and he was the #1 ranked high-jumper in the US, but the love for adrenaline was not the only thing that motivated him to start up his own line of e-bikes.

Namely, Harris is also a Princeton University graduate in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. So, he decided to merge his engineering skills and knowledge and passion for sports, and that's how Juiced Bikes came to being.

Juiced Bikes has put out around 10 products so far, spanning through four categories - commuter, moped-style, fat tire, and adventure e-bikes.

You'll find that these are a bit more affordable, so those of you shopping on a budget should have a look into what Juiced Bikes has to offer.

And now, let's see about the innovations they brought to the market.

Juice Bikes was one of the first brands to incorporate a 52-Volt battery in an electric bicycle. Compared to the standard 48 or even a 36-Volt battery, this battery is a true revolution because it brings more range and power to the table.

Next, they use the powerful 1000W Bafang rear-hub motor (you can read more about this motor brand a bit later in the article), which also means more power and speed.

Their pedal-assist mode is developed to the latest standards, so you'll find e-bikes in Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 in the Juiced Bikes assortment.

Our Recommendation: CrossCurrent X

Highlight features:

  • 750W Bafang geared motor
  • 52V, 19Ah battery
  • 80+ miles range
  • 28 mph max speed
  • 180 mm hydraulic disc brakes
  • 6 pedal assist modes

All the features that we mentioned above as typical for Juiced Bikes - like the 750W motor that accounts for plenty of power and the incredible 52V battery that accounts for an incredible range - are neatly packed into the CrossCurrent X.

The battery is compatible with a speed charger, so the total charge time is around 2.5 hours, which is pretty amazing for a battery of this range.

While this model is slightly more expensive than the Crosscurrent S2, another contender in this line by Juiced Bikes, it's definitely worth the extra couple of dollars.

The main association one could have about the CrossCurrent X is that it is a sporty, powerful racing e-bike, so this model is for you if you are all about speed. You can get it in 3 color schemes - red, black, and white - and it's really sleek.

It comes with a handy rear rack and an excellent display that shows the 6 levels of pedal assist you can use.

And did we mention the puncture-resistant tires?

While these are used in many e-bikes nowadays, it's quite handy to mention them, as you can rest assured that you can tackle the majority of surfaces.

AVENTON

AVENTON

Aventon electric bike

Aventon Bike Reviews

Known For: Road

Aventon is another one of the "newbie" ebike brands, as it was founded in 2013 by J.W. Zhang and Augusto Peraza III. Just like many other brands who are now huge, they started up small, in a tiny office, and with great aspirations.

Since then, they have managed to grow a lot, both as e-bike and bicycle parts producers with headquarters in Southern California.

Their slogan is "empower everyone" with the e-bike ride technology, and their primary strengths are power and comfort combined.

That said, you won't find many mountain or racing bikes in Aventon's line of e-bikes. They are focused on what they do best:

Create high-quality urban-ride products for the city, cruiser, and commuter categories.

They also have a unique model, Sinch, which is a folding bike with fat tires, a combination we don't see very often on the market.

Amongst their signature, unique features are the Tektro hydraulic brakes that do a decent job and 350W-500W motors, albeit Avent does not rely on the standard Bosch and Shimano motors.

Aventon also utilizes fast charging, and the majority of their bikes can attain a speed of 28 mph.

All in all, their bikes are budget and user-friendly because they are almost maintenance-free. Riders of all levels should have a look into them.

Our Recommendation: Pace 350

Highlight features:

  • 350W motor
  • 48V battery with Samsung 18650 cells
  • 45+ miles range
  • 250 lbs weight capacity
  • 20 mph top speed
  • 5 pedal assist levels
  • Maintenance-free

If you are a commuter who doesn't cover more than 35ish miles a day (yes, they market the range as 45+, but 35 is realistic with the average max single speed), the Pace 350 by Aventon is one of the best picks you can get.

It is incredibly easy to ride, regardless of your skills.

The battery is neatly packed into the frame, it's semi-integrated, and its range depends on the pedal assist level you use. The max speed you can reach is 20 mph, meaning this is a Class 2 bike.

There aren't a lot of extra features, but there are mounting points if you wish to install a rack or fenders.

Even though the Pace 350 wasn't made for off-road conditions and mountain tracks, it has a solid suspension system due to its large wheels and tires, so you won't feel the bumps on the road. And the riding experience is quite pleasant.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that the frame is available in three sizes to suit riders of different body types.

RIDE 1UP

Ride1Up Prodigy

Ride 1Up e-bike

Ride1UP Bike Reviews

Known For: Road

Ride1UP made its debut in 2019, meaning it's one of the rookies in the field of electric bike manufacturers. It is based in San Diego, California, which is a shared location for multiple e-bike companies.

Kevin Dugger, the founder, came up with the idea of manufacturing electric bikes due to the fact that his primary mode of transportation in college was cycling. Plus, he worked as a bicycle mechanic. When the two are combined, we get a brand that puts out mostly commuter premium quality e-bikes.

What Ride1UP is also famous for is that the bikes are quite affordable - much more than some other brands.

They believe that e-bikes can overtake car commuting, and that's precisely what you can expect if you get a Ride1UP bike:

A model that you can take with you to complement your day-to-day errands, work, school, or just a leisure day at a park.

That said, you shouldn't expect too much from the design because these look just like traditional bikes. We did like the minimalism, but some users might search for a more sporty look.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Ride1UP has a free shipping policy in the US and a 30-day return policy in case you aren't satisfied with their model.

Pretty handy, huh?

Our Recommendation: 700 Series

Highlight features:

  • 750W motor
  • 48V 14Ah Reention Rhino battery with Samsung 35E cells
  • 50+ miles range
  • 275 lbs weight capacity
  • Hydraulic disc brakes
  • Up to 28 mph speed

The Ride1UP 700 series isn't just your regular commuter; it can reach the speed of 28 mph, and it's a Class 3 electric bike.

Its range of up to 50 miles (though 30ish is more realistic with max speed and pedal assist) will account for an average user's needs. And if not, the average time that it takes for the battery to charge is around 4.5 hours, which is pretty okay.

Hydraulic disc brakes guarantee you don't have to worry about stopping, and we found that they have excellent performance.

Another notable thing about the 700 series is its versatility. The frame comes in two variations (cross-over and step0through) and in two color options - gunmetal grey and steel.

Perhaps the only downside is its weight - this model is heavier than the other Ride1UP bikes. But it's still worth it if you take into account all that it brings to the table.

For a medium price range, you'll hardly find such a quality commuter bike with a 750-Watt motor and 60nM torque.

IZIP

Unbiased Izip Zuma 2 Review (step-through)

IZip e-bike

IZIP Bike Reviews

Known For: Road, Mountain

IZIP is one of the pioneer electric bicycle brands in the US, considering that it was started in 1998. It was named Currie Technologies until it patented its unique ride system and rebranded to IZIP in 2005.

Then, in 2012, IZIP became part of the e-bike conglomerate Accell Group.

You'll find that IZIP produces bikes that can be grouped into 4 categories - cruising (they call them "Just In"), commuting, hauling, and adventuring.

The company mostly uses Bosch, Brose, Shimano, and TransX motor brands, and they are particularly known for utilizing a mid-drive motor that fits low on the bike and thus increases stability.

When it comes to the battery model that IZIP puts into their bikes, they mostly collaborate with LG, Sony, Samsung, and Panasonic.

Also, IZIP does not implement sporty design into their bicycles because they focus on simplicity and functionality. So, while you cannot expect anything flashy or attractive, rest assured you'll get a model that utilizes the maximum efficiency of the frame.

What's more, their bikes usually come in a variety of frame sizes for riders of all heights.

Instead of relying on the throttle systems, IZIP uses pedal assist with boost, which can be particularly useful for the countries where the former isn't allowed without a driver's license.

Our Recommendation: IZIP Vibe 2

Highlight features:

  • Bosch Active Line motor
  • Bosch PowerPack 400Wh downtube mounted battery
  • Up to 35 miles of range
  • Speed of up to 20 mph
  • Tektro mechanical disc brakes with 160 mm rotors
  • Low-weight aluminum frame
  • Four pedal assist modes

It was a tough battle between two IZIP bikes - IZIP Zuma 2 and IZIP Vibe 2, but the latter won because of a slightly lower weight and better frame dynamics.

Other than that, both bikes sport the same motor (Bosch Active Line 250W with 40Nm torque) and the same battery (Bosch PowerPack 400Wh). So, everything you read below about the Vibe 2 applies to the Zuma 2, too.

The weight on the front and the rear wheel is perfectly distributed. Combine that with a relatively low weight of 48.4 pounds, and you get the best IZIP bike when it comes to control and ease of ride.

The brakes provide excellent stopping power at a reasonable distance, even though this model does not utilize hydraulic disc brakes but the Tektro mechanical disc brakes.

Its main purpose is city cruising and urban driving conditions, but it can occasionally handle some off-road terrain, too. However, if you wish to extend the durability of your rims and tires, you should avoid it.

NAKTO

Nakto Electric Cruiser Bike Review – Cheapest Ebike on the Market

Nakto electric bike

Known For: Road

Like many other brands on the list, Nakto's main warehouse is based in California, Placentia. The company is located in Hangzhou City in China.

It was started in 2010 and entered the US market in 2016.

Nakto is one of the main bike manufacturers in its home country, but it has also been recognized in the US as one of the main budget-friendly electric bike producers.

And "budget-friendly" here does not secretly mean less quality.

Nakto manages to bring the best possible quality for the price. That said, you cannot expect outstanding mountain or racing e-bikes, but if commuter bikes are what you seek, you should consider this brand.

Currently, they offer 12 bikes in five categories: cruiser, city, commuter (which are pretty similar), fat tire, and folding bike.

They also produce and sell bike parts - including the battery, frame, rims, brakes, and suspension - at a very affordable price.

Our Recommendation: Nakto City Electric Bicycle

Highlight features:

  • Front suspension
  • 250W brushless gear hub motor
  • Speed of up to 18 mph
  • 36v Lithium-ion battery
  • Range of 26 miles
  • 6-speed Shimano transmission system

The Nakto City Electric Bicycle is the best e-bike by Nakto.
This model, particularly popular for women, is also the cheapest e-bike on the market.
Does that mean it is not as good as some other, more expensive bikes?
Mostly not, but the answer depends on what you seek in an e-bike. If you are looking for something for short daily commuting, definitely have a look into it. But if you are looking for an adventure bike that can cover long distances, then it's not really for you.
The maximum range of about 26 miles and speed of 18 mph (they advertise it at 24 mph, but this isn't attainable) should satisfy your daily needs.
Also, the Shimano transmission system enables seamless gear changes.
One of the flaws is the weight of this bike. At around 60 pounds, you'll find that it might be a bit difficult to bring it up the stairs. Still, the weight is evenly distributed on the front and rear wheel, so the driving experience is stable and effortless.
All in all, the Nakto city cruiser is an average bike you should get if you don't want to break a bank and you don't need a very powerful motor that can reach a high speed.

ANCHEER

Ancheer Electric Mountain Bike

Ancheer electric bike

Known For: Mountain, Road

Ancheer is yet another e-bike producer with headquarters in California, Los Angeles, with manufacturing facilities in China and Taiwan.

It was founded in 2008 and now consists of over 2000 employees around the world.

Ancheer's products belong to the mid-range category, as this company focuses on manufacturing premium quality at a reasonable price. They also have excellent customer service.

It's worth mentioning that Ancheer bikes do not come fully assembled; instead, you should attach the front wheel, saddle, pedals, handlebar, and kickstand. That said, they do come with clear and precise instructions and the tools you need, so you won't spend more than 30ish minutes assembling them.

Their electric bike offer consists of both city and off-road entry-level picks.

The bikes feature 6 different sizes of wheels (12''-27.5''), Shimano components, and aluminum alloy frames.

Besides Ancheer e-bikes, you have probably also heard about their indoor bike products, which the company is famous for:

They have built a reputation as one of the best health and fitness products manufacturers.

Our Recommendation: Ancheer Power Plus

Highlight features:

  • 36V removable battery with a smart charger
  • 250W motor
  • Can go up to 15 mph
  • Range of up to 30 miles
  • Dual disc brakes
  • Pedal-assist and thumb throttle

The ANCHEER Power Plus is a real example of how they aim for the high-spec and low price balance.

It has features that are generally unseen at this price tag, such as the removable battery that can (depending on the assist mode and other factors) last up to 30 miles of range on a single charge. That said, the battery does take at least 5 hours to charge, even though it comes with a smart charger.

The safety features are another compelling point. The dual disc brakes perform excellently, and there's the bright LED headlight and the horn that's pretty loud, even from a distance.

Finally, its weight might be a problem for some, as this bike is on the heavier side compared to some other picks. Nevertheless, the frame is sturdy, and the bike can handle even off-road terrain.

It is a good entry-level pick for those who want to begin their e-bike off-road journey.

ADDMOTOR

ADDMOTOR

AddMotor e-bike

Known For: Road, Mountain, Sport

When it was founded in 2006, Addmotor was a company that specialized in motorcycle parts before it switched to electric bikes in 2011. It is based in California, El Monte.

Perhaps this can be guessed from a sole look at their electric bikes (and, well, the name of the company):

They are modern and sporty, usually with fat tires, and resemble motorbikes to a certain point.

Their most famous electric bike series is Motan, with excellent battery and puncture-proof tires, making it a great pick for trails and beaches. They sit at the top of our mountain fat tire electric bikes list.

Next, there's the HitHot line, inspired by the classic commuter casual design. The weight of these bikes is lower than that of other AddMotor bikes.

Also, there's the Toretto series, which was designed in 2018, and mostly built for sports enthusiasts, featuring a DNM Downhill Fork and Burner-RCP3 rear suspension.

Our Recommendation: Addmotor Motan M-550

Highlight features:

  • 18V 16Ah battery
  • 500W motor
  • A USB port on the display
  • Range of up to 55 miles
  • 26'' tires
  • 300 pounds weight capacity

The Addmotor MOTAN M-550 Fat Tire Electric Bike is one of the best electric bikes if you are looking to add adrenaline to your ride.

That doesn't mean it isn't safe, though. The dynamics and the geometry of this model are perfect so that you get the best of both worlds - a bike that can climb hills (even on paddle assist solely) and stability during the ride.

This e-bike fits riders of different heights (5'10-6'6''), and the handlebars have a very comfortable grip.

The tires are suited for any kind of terrain, so you can ride the Motan M-550 both in the city and off-road.

Even though this isn't a folding electric bike, the Motan M-550 manages to be extremely convenient.

The battery is neatly hidden in the frame so that it doesn't hog up too much space. And at low weight but large weight capacity, it's a true example of efficiency.

QUIETKAT

QUIETKAT

QuietKat e-bike

QuietKat Electric Bikes Reviewed

Known For: Hunting, Mountain, Off-road

QuietKat is based in Eagle, Colorado, and was founded by a twin brother duo, Jake and Justin Roach.

It was established in 2016, which makes it one of the relatively young e-bike companies on the market, but one that has a reputation as one of the best manufacturers of adventurous e-bike products.

If you know anything about QuietKat electric bikes, then it won't be surprising to you to learn that they are tested in the Colorado countryside.

They are built to withstand even the roughest of terrains for any outdoor activities you may wish to tackle - including hunting, trail riding, mountain biking, and so on.

The main pro of QuietKat electric bikes (and other hunting bikes - there are a couple of more brands on our list that produce them) is being environmentally friendly, especially compared to an ATV or SUV.

The name of the QuietKat bikes alone hints at their capabilities. For example, they have the RidgeRunner, Apex, Warrior, Ranger, Villager, Rambo, etc.

Doesn't it scream "power"?

And now, let's see which QuietKat model is the best according to our analysis.

Our Recommendation: QuietKat Warrior

Highlight features:

  • 1000W mid-drive motor
  • 48V 11.6Ah battery
  • Up to 48 miles of range
  • Removable thumb throttle and 5 pedal assist modes
  • Weight capacity 325 lbs, the weight of the bike 70 lbs

The Warrior is one of the best QuietKat bikes for all the outdoor enthusiasts among our readers.

It is fast, powerful, and stealthy - meaning it can get you anywhere you want without disturbing the wildlife.

Both the Sandstone and Dry Camo color schemes blend seamlessly into the surroundings and at the same time manage to look elegant and sophisticated.

Its battery, which provides an excellent range of up to 48 miles at moderate acceleration, is neatly incorporated into the frame.

The 1000W mid-drive motor has enough power and torque to pull off the steepest hills and rough terrain, even if the bike is stuffed with your hunting accessories.

Another small upgrade that QuietKat implemented into this model is the fenders. They are adjustable, and they do an excellent job at handling water and mud.

The final remark is that the Warrior is a heavy bike, so it takes a bit of strength to control it. At times, it feels like a motorcycle rather than a mountain bike - but one thing's for sure:

Riding it is an unforgettable and powerful experience!

BAKCOU

BAKCOU

Bakcou electric bike

Known For: Hunting, Mountain, Off-Road

From the get-go, BAKCOU was a company focused on putting out the best bikes for outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen.

So, it comes as no surprise that one of their bikes - the Bakcou Mule that we will discuss a bit later in more detail - earned the title of the best hunting electric bike.

The founders, Bryan Child and Dave Andre, are outdoor lovers themselves, as well as the whole BAKCOU team - from the sales and PR manager to the webmaster. They say that hunting is a lifestyle for them, and on their website, you'll find a lot of visual material testifying this is true.

Therefore, they are all about creating an environmentally friendly approach to access the remote areas of the countryside, with little disturbance of the wildlife.

Their love and passion for nature and hunting definitely reflect in their line of electric bikes, all of which are revolutionary in one way or another.

Our Recommendation: BAKCOU Mule

Highlight features:

  • Bafang 1000W mid-drive motor with an integrated torque sensor
  • 48V 21Ah battery
  • Range of up to 40 miles
  • 35 mph
  • 26 x 4-inch tires

The BAKCOU Mule sports a high-grade 6061 aluminum alloy frame, which definitely isn't the lightest - it weighs about 68 pounds - but it can handle any challenge:

From the extreme trails filled with mud and water to the rugged hills, the ride will feel stable and safe with the Mule.

Plus, there's the shock-absorbing seat post to minimize the impact of the bumps on the road, together with the Maxxis Minion tires.

You can get it in three variants: matte black, Desert Tan, and Kuiu Verde 2.0 Camo finish that perfectly blends in.

You can even get the step-through version of the Mule if that's what you prefer.

With the 300-pound load capacity, the Mule allows you to bring any hunting accessories you may need, and the extended distance 48V battery will enable you to cover great distances (up to 40 miles) on a single charge.

RAMBO

Rambo Bikes was founded in 2015, and just like BAKCOU, it was created by people who are avid hunters and nature lovers.

Their slogan is "Know no limits," and they say their electric bikes "will take you places you have never been," which is a nice summary of what you can expect from a Rambo electric bike.

The bikes in their assortment all have a powerful motor - either a 750W or a 1000W one, and there's also the possibility to choose between a rear hub and a mid-drive motor.

Whichever you choose, it will be a Banfang motor, which is known as the best option on the market. So, you can rest assured you are getting top-notch quality.

Finally, it's useful to note that all Rambo bikes come with a one-year warranty on both the frame and the components.

Our Recommendation: Rambo Rebel 1000W

Highlight features:

  • 1000W Bafang motor
  • Samsung 48V 21 Ah battery
  • Thumb throttle
  • Up to 48 miles of range
  • 300 lbs weight capacity

The Rambo Rebel is a perfect substitution for a hunting vehicle. Even if you aren't into hunting, you can use it for any other purpose in the woods and mountains.

One of the best things about this model is its incredible 1000W motor that you can use via the attached thumb throttle or the smart pedal-assist technology.

The motor will allow you to easily dash through any terrain type without losing your balance, even if you're carrying extra supplies.

The battery is very durable; going longer distances with the Rebel will not present a problem.

Also, the camouflage pattern looks modern - and you get rear and front fenders and a rear rack with your purchase.
